Initiative will support college affordability for Washington students

Press Release
PORTLAND, Oregon — ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó College today announced the launch of the Washington (WA) College Grant Match, a new financial aid initiative designed to expand access to a ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó education for Washington state residents. This four-year scholarship will match or exceed the value of the Washington College Grant, helping qualified Washington students afford ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó’s rigorous liberal arts education.
Under the new WA College Grant Match program, eligible Washington residents who qualify for the Washington College Grant will receive a ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó College-funded grant that equals or surpasses the state award—up to $15,000 per year. This match is renewable for all four years of a student’s undergraduate degree, provided eligibility criteria continue to be met.
The WA College Grant Match complements ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó’s existing financial aid initiatives, including the ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó Promise, which commits to covering full tuition for students from families earning less than $100,000 annually. Together, these programs strengthen ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó’s mission to ensure that cost is not a barrier for academically talented students from diverse backgrounds.
“ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó College believes that every student with the talent and drive to succeed should have access to a world-class liberal arts education,” said ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó College Vice President and Dean of Admission and Financial Aid Milyon Trulove. “By matching the Washington College Grant, we are removing another financial hurdle and welcoming more students from Washington into our vibrant community.”
Washington students interested in the WA College Grant Match and ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó College’s comprehensive financial aid programs are encouraged to apply for admission and complete the FAFSA and CSS Profile to determine eligibility.
